Members of the Hannaford Street Silver Band joined ECC for this festive concert, which featured Rutter’s beautiful Gloria, a selection of timeless holiday songs and an audience sing-along to favourite carols!

This concert offered an evening of music by Luigi Cherubini and Johannes Brahms. The choir performed Cherubini’s expressive Requiem Mass in C minor, accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra.

The program included the gorgeous Nänie by Johannes Brahms and romantic Liebeslieder Waltzes, also by Johannes Brahms. The choir performed the recent English-language translation of the waltzes to better share their intriguing stories.

The magic of Latin American music featured in this evening of colourful harmonies, toe-tapping rhythms and exciting choral arrangements of tender lullabies, jaunty folk songs and the excitement of carnivals and dances. The choir presented music from composers including Carlos Jobim, Moisés Simon, Raphael Hernandez and Astor Piazzola. The evening featured ECC's lead vocalists and an ensemble of drums, percussion, guitar, bass, piano and violins.
